You rarely have sex or it has disappeared altogether.
It’s not that you both don’t want sex. It’s just that you either forgot about it and went to bed, or wanted to have sex during the day, and your partner and you simply weren’t in the mood for it in the evening. Don’t be upset if you’re having less sex. This is a completely normal state of affairs, which happens to all couples who have been together for two years or more. The fact is that the hormone levels that were off the charts in the first months of your relationship, pushing you to have sex, have now subsided. Your love may become even stronger and more intense, but at the same time, you’ll completely lose the desire to pounce on each other in the kitchen or passionately rip each other’s clothes off in the bedroom!
But if the thought of sex disgusts you, if the mere thought of your partner touching you, much less kissing and hugging you, causes a storm of protest and rejection in you, if you dream of not having sex in your relationship for as long as possible, or better yet, never and under no circumstances, then this is a completely different matter and your relationship is ending!
I want to be alone
And that’s normal, too! Sometimes, just because you’re in the mood, you need to gather your thoughts, you need to look at your relationship from a distance, or even just to miss each other. I even strongly recommend that people who spend a lot of time together take short breaks. That is, don’t separate for a few days, but allow each other to relax separately with girlfriends or friends. Don’t make a big deal out of your husband’s business trip, but rather use it to your relationship’s advantage.
But if, upon learning about your husband or boyfriend’s business trip, you shout with joy: “Hurray!”, if you don’t miss him at all while he’s not around at home, and the thought of his imminent return spoils your mood, then the situation is completely disappointing and your relationship is coming to an end!
You quarrel a lot.
I can’t even imagine a couple living in complete harmony for several years, without any disagreements or arguments. Arguments aren’t the best way to spend time. But they’re completely normal for people who live together! Remember how you fought with your brother as a child, but you didn’t decide to leave because of it, did you? If after an argument you manage to reach a mutual agreement, sit down and calmly discuss everything, and maybe even cement the truce with a celebratory dinner or wild sex, then you’re doing just fine; fight to your heart’s content!
But if after a quarrel there remains an unpleasant aftertaste, if you really, and not in the heat of the moment, think about the fact that you want to break up, that you don’t want to live together, then this is a warning sign that this may be the end of the relationship!
You have different preferences
Remember how soulmates attract each other? It’s actually very similar to arguments. If you manage to find a compromise and, in the end, laugh about everything you said, then everything’s fine.
If a compromise is not reached, and the argument about which restaurant to go to ends with you both going to two different restaurants, getting very upset with each other, and vowing never to listen to each other’s opinions again, then your relationship is truly headed towards the end.
It’s even worse if you simply make your own plans from the very morning and live your day solely according to them, completely ignoring your partner, their wishes, and preferences. In other words, if you don’t make plans together, then you don’t have a future together!
But remember my advice, before you finally break up, take 10 steps towards each other, especially if you have children.
